The lab is the Researcher
Everything revolves around the scientist /researcher. What makes their workflow more seamless, allows them to be fully focused and in the flow?
There are many aspects of lab life that have never changed. The Lab Coat immediately comes to mind. These flappy ill-fitting button-up butcher’s coats that were made in black for doctors (so much blood) and white for scientists are now ubiquitous across all areas of research and medicine. The only functionality (other than covering existing clothing) are the two side and breast pockets.
We re-envisioned the ‘protective-wear’ with embedded wearable communication and display technology. They would fit /flex and have ATTITUDE.

Next Steps
All of these human centered challenges are becoming more important as the life-sciences labs are coming to the forefront of investment. People will be asking for more time-saving and intuitive product for research support.
